Trip to the Laguna de Apoyo

On Saturday, June 5, we took a day off from studying to spend a day of recreation at Crater’s Edge private hospedaje in the Laguna de Apoyo — one of a handful of such resorts and the one considered the most environmentally friendly.  After a few weeks of mostly-cloudy days and lots of rain, the weather cleared and we had a lovely sunny day for swimming, kayaking, and just being.
