Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

Each year, Goshen College honors the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by holding an all-school study day, emphasizing the values and ideals that characterized King’s work.

Schedule – Monday, January 20, 2025

  • 10 a.m. – Noon – Student-led Convocation: “Justice and Liberation,” Church-Chapel and Rec-Fitness Center (livestream)
    • LEARN: Hear from students in the Black Student Union (BSU), Advocates (LGBTQIA+ inclusion), One Circle (Indigenous advocacy), Muslim Student Association (MSA), APIDA Student Union (celebrating Asian international and Asian American cultures) and Campus Ministry Team
    • CELEBRATE: Join the Queen Singers in song
    • ENGAGE: Participate in a short collective march to the Rec-Fitness Center for engagement stations, snacks, drinks, raffles and prizes
